It is with a heavy heart we inform you that the Kardashians have pulled the plug on their annual Christmas party for the first time in 42 years due to – you guessed it – COVID-19.

Khloe Kardashian announced the earth-shattering news on Twitter the other night:
The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year. It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978 I believe.
Health and safety first though! Taking this pandemic seriously is a must.

Welp, looks like another huge W for coronavirus. The entertainment world’s most powerful family won’t get to throw a huge Christmas Eve party in 2020 like they usually do. How will they possibly cope? I’m just glad they let us know because the whole world would have been wondering what the Kardashians are up to on December 24th.
Unless… ultra matriach Kris Jenner has something up her sleeve? She might just throw a surprise party after all with maybe only 250 of their closest friends on the exclusive guest list. Only issue is there’s no way the Kardashians are throwing a party without telling the whole world how amazing it was. The decorations, food and attendees all have to be plastered all over social media – otherwise did the party even really happen?
I guess they are going to have weigh up the pros and cons of a public backlash vs throwing a party in private. Hey, Kim survived the birthday backlash just fine. If anyone can get away with it – it’s the Kardashians.
