It’s always a bit of a challenge to work out what’s going on in Kanye West’s head, but see if you can make heads or tails of these text messages he sent to Elon Musk recently, which he ordered longtime confidant Ian Connor to make public online:

Again, I’m not sure what to make of all this. Seems like Kanye West is upset that Elon has been ignoring him, and for some reason wants him to know that he developed autism after his car crash in 2002. All I know for sure is that this headline includes the words Kanye West, Elon Musk & Autism (the Holy Trinity, if you will), so I had no choice but to blog about it.

Now obviously I’m not a doctor and I have no idea whether being in a car accident can give you autism. It’s certainly not something I’ve ever heard happen before. Even still, everyone claims to be at least mildly autistic these days (it is a spectrum, after all), and so I guess we can take Kanye’s word for it. The question is – why is he calling out Elon Musk both privately and publicly at the same time and sharing this information with him?

As an aside, I absolutely love Kanye’s texting style. Breaking every line up into its own paragraph like he’s writing a poem, using incomplete sentences, saying things like “You never have to speak to me again” like a teenager who’s just broken up with his girlfriend. What’s also interesting is that he wants the “nature of the relationship” between him and Elon to change, whatever that means. What relationship did they even have in the first place? I know they posed in a couple pictures together in the past:

Things got a little rocky between them when Kanye went into anti-semite mode on Twitter, sharing a picture of a swastika and whatnot. I suppose that can make things complicated when you’re sharing such an image on a platform owned by your buddy Elon Musk.

In any case, that’s all in the past and we are now in the present where Kanye West has opened a line of communication with Elon via these texts. The first thing he wants to do is let Elon (and the world) know he’s not bipolar, but rather – autistic. Which means we must now treat Kanye as an autistic car crash victim and not a bipolar person from here on. Please and thank you.
