Days after Kim Kardashian got rinsed on social media for bragging about her private island birthday party in the middle of a global pandemic, she has now revealed what hubby Kanye West gave her as a present for her 40th- a hologram of her late father Robert Kardashian.
The detail and realism is actually pretty remarkable:
For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. ✨🤍 It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion. pic.twitter.com/jD6pHo17KC

The best part of course is that Kanye programmed his dead father-in-law to call him “the most, most, most, most, most genius man in the whole world”, which I guess is exactly what you’d expect him to do.
The general reaction on Twitter hasn’t been great, to be honest:
The tone-deafness of wealthy elites has become so evident during this pandemic. A hologram of Robert Kardashian? Choose your heroes wisely because in the end, most don’t give a fucking shit about you.

Kim Kardashian getting a hologram of her dead dad while millions of Americans didn’t even get to tell their parents goodbye or go to their funerals thanks to COVID is too on the nose.

Someone please tax the shit out of these motherfuckers.

During this pandemic, perhaps celebrate more privately. You don’t need to post this on social media as people lose their jobs, livelihoods, families, and loved ones.

Jeez, how jealous can people get? This is Kim Kardashian we’re talking about. As if she’s going to receive a hologram of her dead dad for her 40th birthday and NOT share it on social media.
In fact Kim K was so unbothered by the criticism that she shared the whole thing again later. Rub it in their stupid faces, Kim!
I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime ✨ Here’s a more close up view to see the incredible detail. pic.twitter.com/XpxmuHRNok

The only thing that was missing was Kanye West jumping in out of nowhere and saying “OK Kim’s ghost dad imma let you finish! But 2pac has the best hologram of ALL TIME!” Come on now, that would have been pretty funny.
Never forget:
