With the US Presidential election only 3 weeks away, word is that Kamala Harris is in talks to appear on the Joe Rogan podcast, which comes after Donald Trump hinted this week that he’d be appearing on the podcast himself soon.

As per Reuters, Harris campaign officials met with Rogan’s team this week to discuss the potential interview.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump appeared on the “Nelk Boys” podcast on Monday and told the lads “I’m doing it, actually”, calling Rogan a “good guy”.

Kamala Harris

Last week, Harris made appearances on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and “The Howard Stern Show,” so her team has clearly worked out that it’s a good way to reach voters in 2024, just as Trump has done with his appearances on Theo Von’s podcast and the aforementioned Nelk Boys podcast recently.

None of those shows have anywhere near the reach that the Joe Rogan podcast does however, and so this could really turn out to be a huge vote swinger if either or both of them manage to get on it. Come to think of it, why doesn’t Joe Rogan have both Kamala Harris & Donald Trump on his show at the same time?

Of course, there’s this idea out there that Joe Rogan is a hardcore Republican and Trump voter, but this doesn’t actually seem to be the case. In fact Rogan has been full of praise for Kamala Harris recently, and has failed to endorse Trump on several occassions when asked (he said he would rather vote for RFK Jr, who, funnily enough, has since dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump).

Donald Trump Says He's Going to Sit Down With Joe Rogan for a Podcast Interview

Who needs the Joe Rogan bump more, though? Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? You have to think that anyone voting for Trump has already made their minds up, but there are plenty of young males and “bro” types who would never dream of voting for Harris… unless maybe someone like Joe Rogan makes it seem like a good idea? He has millions of listeners in precisely the demographic she’s struggling to reach.

It would be a fantastic move for Harris, who has been accused of being fake and robotic and not really having a sincere personality on the campaign run. Joe Rogan’s podcast is more conversational than a formal interview, and so it will be interesting to see how she does on it.

Then again, maybe she would be better suited to the Theo Von podcast? Rogan may have more listeners, but Theo Von really has a knack for bringing out the human side of his guests, which is something Kamala Harris desperately needs.

Let’s see where either/both of them turn up in the coming weeks…
