Stabbings are currently a huge problem in Israel and the West Bank so stab-proof vests are in high demand.
Eitam Lachover put the vest on while Yaniv Montakyo pulled out a large steel commando knife and went to town on him.
Lachover asked:
You’re going to stab me with this?
Montakyo replied:
Yes. You have nothing to worry about, we are very confident in our product.
This product can protect from knives that are stronger than this one. Don’t be afraid — if something happens, I’m here.
Turns out he did have plenty to worry about, as Montakyo proceeded to stab him multiple times in the back, with the blade eventually penetrating the vest and piercing the reporter’s skin.
Watch below:
Montakyo announced that he “missed” before quickly helping the injured Lachover out of the vest. Luckily, the injuries weren’t serious, as Lachover confirmed on his Twitter later on (translated):
Superficial stab wounds, had some stitches and was released back home. Many thanks to everyone for your concern!
Montakyo’s exuse was that he stabbed him in an area of the vest with less protective material.
Seems like he barely noticed he got stabbed to be fair, just like the estate agent that got stabbed in the head and didn’t even realise. That’s what adrenaline will do to you I guess.
