Johnny Knoxville is being sued for causing emotional distress in his latest prank gone wrong, after hiring a repair man from the freelance app Taskrabbit and giving him the day from hell.

Khalil Khan claims he was hired to repair an electric dimmer switch on Knoxville’s home. However, as he was working, a lamp went out and a 10-year-old girl — an actress — accused him of killing her pony because it was on life support and the electricity had gone out. Naturally, there was an actual pony in the next room (presumably a dead one?).

As he was dealing with that nightmare situation, someone else – another actor I guess –  informed Khan that his car outside was being towed. When Khan tried to call the police, a man told him he would get in trouble for doing so because his vehicle had cocaine in it.

The alleged victim claims that a bag with white powder was then produced, causing him to be “horrified.” At that point the repair man went into complete meltdown and Knoxville revealed it was a prank and allegedly offered him cash for his participation.

Well Khan decided to file a lawsuit instead and seek damages for emotional distress, worry, anxiety, and possible harm to his business reputation. Which we already know is going to result in Knoxville settling out of court, although it’s a shame that will probably mean we never get to see the footage. The most shocking part about it is that it took this long for someone to sue Johnny Knoxville? After all the physical and emotional damage he’s dished out over the years for our entertainment. Seems he may have gone too far this time by gaslighting a man into believing he’d killed a pony and was about to be busted for possession of Class As. That’s a day-ruiner for sure.
