The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial has been full of bizarre moments, but this latest video from yesterday’s hearing has definitely got to be the weirdest as Johnny Depp’s former doorman decided to testify whilst vaping and driving around in his car.

To make matters even stranger, the deposition wasn’t even live and had been taped beforehand – surely Alejandro Romero could have found a time in the day to appear at a normal location to take the video call? Anyway, the guy didn’t really say anything that useful – I’ve dropped in a couple of quotes below – but it’s just legitimately hilarious to see him driving around and vaping whilst answering these questions (make sure you watch the reaction of the judge and the prosecutors at the end too):
This video is just included if you want to watch a bit of the actual testimony as well:
I just don’t remember seeing any marks or bruises on Amber Heard’s face.
I just don’t remember any.
I would’ve seen that and I would remember because that’s something that you would see.
I don’t remember. I don’t even remember what I got for breakfast though.
I’m tired… I don’t want to deal with this court case… everybody’s got problems and I don’t want to deal with this no more.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t want to review the papers I was sent because it’s been so long.
Again, that isn’t that useful although I suppose the fact that he distinctly doesn’t remember Heard being beat up should count for something. Saying he doesn’t remember what he got for breakfast is hardly the best supporting statement though.
Of course, there is the argument that breakfast is usually pretty unmemorable and seeing Amber Heard with bruises all over her face would be a much different scenario. However, I doubt this video is going to be remembered for much other than the vaping.
Anyway, the best part is definitely at the end where the prosecutor and judge are talking about it and saying how ridiculous the whole video is. Imagine what else there is to come in the trial hey?
