The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial draws to a close today and whatever the verdict, it still remains to be seen whether Depp will ever work in Hollywood again following its conclusion.

However, all the Johnny Depp fans out there – and there are a hell of a lot of them judging by the comments every time I write one of these articles – were pretty excited for their hero today when someone Googled the cast list for the rumoured upcoming ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel and saw that Depp’s name appeared amongst the credits. Although that’s no guarantee that he’s actually in the movie – it hasn’t even been announced yet, it’s just rumoured – the fact that he’s worked with director Tim Burton in the past to great effect must lend some authority to the possibility.

Yeah, it could mean anything but people seem to be happy about it. Obviously Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder would also be returning in any capacity if a sequel were to happen and Ryder has been quoted as saying the following when asked about it previously:

I’m definitely excited and I’m really hopeful that it’ll happen.

The only way we would do it is if everything was perfect and we had all the people – obviously Michael [Keaton] and obviously Tim [Burton].

Sounds like it’s probably going to go down doesn’t it? Whether or not Depp is involved remains to be seen though and could be dependent on the findings of the jury in the coming days. Stay tuned.
