We might have had a couple of days off for the Easter Holidays, but the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial has continued in spite of this with Depp taking to the stand yesterday and acting pretty much how you would expect him to given his stance over the last six years.

Depp was quick to deny that he had ever hit, struck or physical abused Amber Heard during their relationship, saying the following:
Never did I myself reach the point of striking Miss Heard in anyway, nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.
Since I knew there was no truth to it whatsoever, I felt it my responsibility to stand up, not only for myself in that instance, but stand up for my children.
My children were 14 and 16 at the time of Miss Heard’s accusations and I thought that it was diabolical that their friends from school might approach them with pictures of bruises all over her face.
I was always a very private person, so for me to come up here and sit before you all and spill the truth is quite exposing, and it’s unfortunate that it’s not only exposing for myself, it’s exposing for my family, it’s exposing for Miss Heard, it never had to go in this direction.
It’s not embarrassing for me because I know I’m doing the right thing.
Miss Heard’s allegations are quite heinous and disturbing – they’re criminal acts against me that were not based in any species of truth.
He makes a convincing argument doesn’t he? The only problem is that a judge over here in the UK literally found him guilty of beating her up on nine different occasions last summer, so you would have to think that he’s going to have to come out with some absolutely incredible evidence to win this lawsuit.
Right now, I don’t think him delivering this little sob story about his kids being upset about actions that he’s already been found guilty of is going to cut it, but maybe somehow it’s going to be revealed that Heard has been lying all this time? Stay tuned.
