There might be some spoilers in this one, so you’ve been warned.

Anyway, John Wick 3: Parabellum came blasting onto our screens last week and just might be the best instalment of the franchise so far. Sure, it’s pretty much just Keanu Reeves hanging out with people and then fighting them all or shooting them, but the bone crunching choreography makes that a joy to watch which is exactly why the franchise has been so successful and exactly why there’s going to be a fourth movie.

For those of you that have seen it, then we know that at the end of the third movie John Wick has been betrayed by Winston and left for dead, only to be picked up by The Bowery King to presumably join forces with him in the fourth instalment to wreak havoc on The High Table and The Continental. And the good news is that this has now been fully confirmed and even has a release date of May 21, 2021, pretty much two years after this one.
That’s a long time to wait sure but pretty much how long it takes to make a movie so you can’t really criticise that. Director Chad Stahelski is stoked on it too, saying the following:
I enjoy making these movies because there’s no limit.
We create our own mythology, and we have a studio that both stays out of our way and supports us on the wacky decisions.
If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days.
I could live here for the rest of my career. If people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career.
But, you know, we’re in the entertainment business. We’ll let the audience figure that out.
Wow. Looks like we could be in for a long line of John Wick movies and who would complain about that when they’re so much fun? Not me, that’s for sure.
