You may remember John Oliver from his monologue about FIFA, where he dismantled Sepp Blatter and the whole organisation bit by bit. He did this in the period before the official investigations into FIFA, but when most, if not all of us knew something was up. I mean, Russia and Qatar? Enough said:

Oliver is an English comedian but he’s made his name in the US. He hosts the show Last Week Tonight, and on Sunday he opened with what he described as his ‘moment of premium cable profanity’.
He tears into the Paris attackers without getting into the semantics of who or what they represent, labelling them ‘assholes’ and basically just running with it from there. One standout quote reads:
Unconscionable flaming assholes, possibly, possibly working with other f*****g assholes, definitely working in service of an ideology of pure assholery.
Pretty well thought out, don’t you think? Check his monologue out here:

Oliver was pretty sweary in his response to the attacks, as was Jason Manford when he called the Paris killers cowardly. Manford came in for a lot of stick, do you think his outburst was justified? Oliver’s certainly was.
