John McAfee is undoubtedly one of the weirdest men in the world and quite possibly one of the richest and most secretive, as he’s been on the run ever since 2012 following his alleged involvement in a murder in Belize.

The antivirus pioneer has always alleged that any crimes he stands accused of have been manufactured by the US government to discredit him and as such he’s spent the last few years sailing around from port to port hoping that the authorities don’t catch up with him. That plan seems to have worked pretty well up until yesterday when a series of tweets sent out by his campaign manager Rob Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Loggia-Ramirez on his personal account seemed to indicate that his time had finally come:
(2/4) I last spoke with John as his boat was being boarded. The situation was tense but controlled. Our conversation was cut short by authorities confiscating their phones. The bastards wouldn’t even give him a cigarette.

Well damn that all sounds very ominous doesn’t it and there are a hell of a lot of questions that need to be answered aren’t there? Like who the hell has managed to capture McAfee? How did they manage to capture him? What secret data does McAfee have on everyone in the world that will be released if he doesn’t check in?
Lots and lots of questions and the shit really could hit the fan later tonight if John doesn’t check it. Kinda hoping it does to see what happens to be honest. Maybe they’ll be another thunderstorm or something.
