If you had Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson beefing over transgender issues on your 2022 bingo card, then you’re cashing in today. Not really sure if anyone would have done that though because you would probably expect them to have somewhat similar views on the debate.

Amazingly though, Joe Rogan has decided to call out Peterson on the latest episode of his podcast for the latter’s refusal to call Elliot Page by her real name and consistently dead naming her and then getting kicked off Twitter because of it. Here’s what he had to say about the issue:
Joe Rogan calls out Jordan Peterson for ‘deadnaming’, while using the banned name himself!
Except Rogan quickly realises and corrects himself. And that’s why Peterson doesn’t want to play the game.

He’s kicked off Twitter right now.
Cause he said something about [deadname] — Elliot Page — [he] called her [deadname].
I think that was the number one thing. The dead-naming.
Everybody’s in favour of everybody doing whatever they want to do, as long as it doesn’t hurt anybody’ until it becomes about gender.
It riles people up.
They start thinking it’s a mistake… They start thinking all kinds of things.
OK it’s kind of ironic that Rogan is calling out Peterson for dead naming Elliot Page whilst dead naming him himself, but at least he quickly corrects himself and apologises. I don’t think you’ll ever catch Jordan Peterson doing something like that, especially as he seems determined to hate on trans people for whatever reason he thinks that’s appropriate.
Again, like Rogan says I don’t really get why people are so invested in trans people and what they’re doing. It must be so hard for them to live their lives as victims of gender dysphoria anyway even without a bunch of people demonising them all the time. Let them live their lives.
For more of the same, check out Jordan Peterson’s response to the ‘not beautiful’ controversy a couple of months ago. Any guesses how he’s going to handle that?
