In fairness to Joe Biden, the name of the Prime Minister changes so often in the UK that he can probably be forgiven for this latest live gaffe where he managed to call Rishi Sunak ‘Rashid Sanook’ while congratulating him on becoming PM. At the same time, you’d think he’d take the time to memorise Rishi Sunak’s name given he’s Britain’s first ever Asian Prime Minister – the sort of thing the Democrat Party would go crazy for in the US. Well, apart from the fact they’d be a Republican.
Still, he did call it a “groundbreaking milestone” so he got that part right. Maybe it was a bit much to ask of him to also remember Rishi Sunak’s name. So much for our special relationship eh?
