The stock of Hollywood celebrities has fallen massively in the last few years as they’ve gone from fun and beloved entertainers to nauseating and entitled hypocrites lecturing us all on our privilege. As we saw last weekend at the Oscars, they can no longer take a joke either! Well Jim Carrey has hit the nail on the head here by declaring that Hollywood is no longer the “cool club” after the Oscars audience literally applauded Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock over a joke. Obviously Hollywood has always been a place that’s detached from reality but it’s still mind-blowing to see how out of touch so many celebrities are when it comes to public perception of things. Thankfully, it seems at least Jim Carrey and a few others have their heads screwed on somewhat. Which is pretty funny in itself given the hilariously awkward and insane interviews he’s given himself over the last few years:
