If there’s one thing I don’t actually know that much about, it’s the gay porn industry – and judging by the trailer to James Franco’s new movie King Cobra, it’s something I probably don’t want to know much about or get involved with at all.

King Cobra tells the story of a lonely suburban man played by Christian Slater who decides to become a gay porn producer who stumbles across the next big thing in the industry in a young guy called Brent Corrigan. When a couple of rival producers –  played by Franco and Keegan Allen, pretty much epitomising the GTL lifestyle – try and steal him away from Slater it turns into some kind of psychotic murder plot from the looks of the trailer:

Yeah that looks seriously messed up and a look into the seedy side of a world I don’t really know anything about. Watching this movie will probably be enough for me as well. It doesn’t have an official release date over here yet, but it’s showing at the London Film Festival in a couple of weeks if you’re desperate to get tickets. It looks pretty sick so I reckon it’s definitely worth checking out.
