It looks like Jake Paul is taking his boxing match with 57-year-old Mike Tyson very seriously indeed, having given everyone second-hand embarrassment with his behaviour at the face-off last night,

Mike Tyson doesn’t actually seem too fussed, but Jake Paul goes the whole 9 yards with a bunch of intense poses, and even signals a gunshot when Iron Mike turns his back:

Jeez, how cringe was that? Although it may not seem so cringe if Jake Paul ends up KO’ing the boxing legend, which I think is a very real fear a lot of people have ahead of their showdown on July 20. Not that it would be particularly impressive for a 27-year-old in his prime to beat up a man 30 years older than him, but this is still Iron Mike Tyson we’re talking about. If Jake Paul gets the W over him, that goes on both their records forever. We simply cannot be having that, can we?

Maybe it will pan out like the Logan Paul/Floyd Mayweather fight, where the aging legend plays it safe and defensive while the spunky YouTuber gets to bask in the glow of sharing a ring with him. It goes the distance and results in draw or slight decision win for Tyson, after which he will praise Jake Paul for being tougher than he thought and Jake Paul will talk about how Mike Tyson still has the goods. Win-win for both, who end up walking away from the whole thing with a lot of money.

Or, ideally, Mike Tyson drops him early and we all look back at this face-off video and laugh. Make it happen, Mike!

For what it’s worth, Joe Rogan has made his prediction… yikes.
