I think a lot of people have always thought that the inside of a kangaroo’s pouch was all furry and cute, so it’s with a great deal of horror that this video from TikTok user Alexandra Kalin went viral after it showed what was actually in there.

39 million people have viewed the TikTok video after it was revealed that the inside of a kangaroo’s pouch containing a bunch of gross sweat glands and a couple of nipples that release milk periodically to help with the baby’s development. It basically looks like you’re looking directly into the kangaroo’s guts and is completely and utterly rank:

I kinda already knew this because myself because of that classic episode of ‘The Simpsons’ where they go to Australia and try and escape from the crowd that’s after them by jumping in a couple of kangaroo pouches and hoping that they’ll bound off, but instead find them filled with gross goop. Even so I didn’t expect it to actually look that rank and like you were literally looking inside the kangaroo’s insides. Rough.
