A 21-Year-Old Instagram Model Is Facing 20 Years In Jail For Breaking Her Mum Out Of Prison

A 21-year-old Colombian Instagram model with a massive 2.5 million followers is looking at 20+ years in jail after she helped her mum escape from prison.

Disgraced politician Aida Merlano Redobello was serving a 15-year sentence in Bogota because of illegal possession of weapons, voter fraud and corruption during an election period, reports MailOnline. Her Instagram-famous daughter Aida Victoria Merlano put together a plan involving a hidden rope, a getaway bike and a dodgy dentist to bust her out.

Amazingly… it worked! Redobello arranged a dentist appointment outside the prison, where her daughter was waiting. The dentist left Redobello alone in his office while her daughter distracted the security guard, who didn’t have the foggiest that anything was afoot. Redobello simply climbed out of a third-story window using a rope, hopped on the back of the getaway driver’s bike and rode off to freedom.

Just one problem though – the whole thing was caught on CCTV and it all went down in broad daylight in front of a bunch of witnesses…

What a landing!

Well eventually Rebolledo was caught hiding out in Venezuela and is now back in jail, while her daughter and the dentist go on trial for aiding her escape. The daughter has remained free on bail for over a year now, with the whole crazy story doing wonders for her Instagram career. Big up Aida Victoria Merlano for turning lemons into lemonade with that one. She even said herself that the fear of going to prison for her crimes won’t stop her posting bikini pics on Instagram. That’s one brave and inspirational young lady right there.
