Mike Tyson has definitely done some bad stuff in his past and still seems like somewhat of a sketchy character, but it seems like he’s attempting to pull off  a full on redemption arc right now and this latest video only continues to further serve this narrative.

Tyson was attending a small comedy show at a rooftop club in Hollywood on Tuesday night when some random guy approached him during the set and started chatting shit to him, saying that he wanted to challenge him to a fight in order to ‘elevate his status’. Tyson just sat there and listened to him without reacting, until eventually the MC for the show came over and tried to move the guy along. That was when shit got crazy.

Instead of just leaving like a normal person, the dude pulled out a gun and started waving it around in Tyson’s face. Obviously the crowd panicked and scattered and hid under their chair and tables etc, but once again Mike remained calm and casually managed to talk the gunman down from doing anything stupid by hugging him.

Wow. The guy left after a bit longer and then after a period of hanging around worrying that he might shoot anyone coming down after him, the crowd decided to go for it and snuck out without any incident. Tyson waited a bit longer and then left as well, hardly phased by the situation at all.

I guess when you’re Iron Mike Tyson it takes a bit more than a man waving a gun in your face to get a rise out of you. Not condoning his past behaviour, but you’ve gotta respect how the guy handled this situation as it could easily have ended up being a bloodbath.
