I think that most people probably think that ‘influencers’ are major knob heads who spend their lives prancing around going to stupid bars and expensive brunches and filming every single minute of their day to cultivate a following, but the fact is that they probably work harder doing that than most people who spend their time working in ‘real jobs’.

This somewhat explains why 21 year old Katylee Bailey was crying her eyes out over on her TikTok account with 2.8 million followers after making so much money from social media that she was able to buy her own house outright without a mortgage. Unfortunately this attracted a load of hate from online trolls after she uploaded a video that people assumed was her bragging about the situation and so she was forced to follow up with another one explaining that she was just proud of herself and her achievements at such a young age:

I just wanted to come on here to say that I’m sorry to anyone who feels like I’m bragging about the house thing.

Yes, the system is absolutely f***ed, I will never get my head around the fact that I’ve become so lucky.

But believe or not, as much as some of you guys don’t wanna understand this, I do actually work and let me tell you something, social media is so mentally draining.

I know there are many people out there who work there a***s off. I genuinely did just fall lucky with social media.

And yes my family have given me an amazing life. But I didn’t get brought up with money, so to be able to achieve such a big thing at 21-years-old, I’m just so grateful.

It’s not me bragging, it’s me being so proud of myself. I think if anyone else had the opportunity, they’d do it.

I can kinda see why she’s so upset when everyone is so mean to her for no reason. It’s crazy that people don’t understand how much effort being a social media celebrity is, especially when so many people are speaking out about mental health and committing suicide in the industry because it can be so intense/horrible.

Fair play to this woman for working her ass off and having the money to buy a house at this stage in her life. Maybe take a leaf out of her book and do something similar instead of leaving shxtty comments on her TikTok whilst living in your mother’s basement in your dirty gross sheets at the age of 35 or whatever. Just go for it.
