Do Drake fans genuinely like his music or do they just go to his concerts to beg him for money? It could be the latter if this photo from his show Sydney, Australia, is anything to go by, with dozens of signs in the crowd literally begging the rapper to help pay off mortgages/student loans/car payments and pretty much anything else you can think of:
So what’s this all about exactly? Well, Drake has sort of invited this on himself by recently handing out heaps of cash to fans at his shows, and those fans tend to have massive signs with them specifying exactly what they need the money for.
In recent weeks, Drake promised $30,000 and VIP seats to a pregnant woman he spotted in the standing area of one of his shows, $20,000 to someone who said it was their birthday, and another $30,000 to a fan who was desperate to quit their job at McDonalds.
At another show, he spotted a man proposing to his girlfriend (at a Drake concert, really?) and congratulated the pair with a free honeymoon and $25,000 for good measure. What a guy!
Let’s zoom in on a few signs from this most recent show in Sydney and see where Drake may be sending a small fortune to next…
Some worthy causes there for sure, especially the dog with the vet bills. Still, it is a bit sad and dystopian isn’t it? It’s as if he’s playing a concert for a GoFundMe website or something.
Not quite sure what this one is about though…
Go get a job, young lady!
