I’ve been hearing a lot during this tournament about how football means more to Argentinians than almost any nation in the world and whilst I’m not sure if that’s exactly true, I have been loving watching all the videos of them celebrating their World Cup win yesterday and wishing that I would one day get to experience similar emotions.

I don’t think I’ve seen a better video than the one below though, presumably taken by the only person in Buenos Aires who wasn’t glued to their television set during the penalty shootout. For some reason they were riding their bike through one of the main roads in the city as it’s eerily silent as everyone is waiting with baited breath for Gonzalo Montiel to step up and smash it into the back of the net.
The moment when the silence is broken and everyone realises what is happening really does send tingles down your spine:

Wow. What a perfectly captured video, made perhaps even more perfect by the fact that the person who filmed it clearly didn’t care too much about the match or result.
Hopefully one day everyone in this country will get to experience a feeling like that as well. Keep on believing. Messi did.
For more of the same, check out Lionel Messi blanking Salt Bae as he asks for a picture following the World Cup final. Give the guy a break dude.
