Judge Thokozile Masipa, who is currently dealing with the Oscar Pistorius court case, has revealed six gruesome photos of model Reeva Steenkamp’s wounds after being shot by the athlete. According to reports these images have been released after the family begged the court for the world to see them.

Steenkamp was shot by Pistorius in the head, elbow and hip by three military grade Black Tallon bullets through their bathroom door back in 2013. The shells caused serious damage to the model’s body, as they are designed to enlarged once they hit their target.

A source told the MailOnline:

There were scores for them to look at and they bravely chose the ones that showed the horrific impact of her injuries.

It was a very painful process for them, but they are very anxious that people know exactly what their daughter went through on the night she died.

Despite the fact that her parents asked for the images to be in full view to the world, the judge decided that they were too graphic and have therefore pixelated parts of the images. These were released on the same day that Pistorius was made to walk on his stumps in front of the court room.

Seems like this case has been going on for a long time, although this whole thing will come to a conclusion on Wednesday 6 July when Pistorius is sentenced. He is facing up to 15 years in jail for the murder of his girlfriend.
