Every one knows the story of the sinking of the Titanic, mainly thanks to the popular James Cameron movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, but also as one of the greatest tragedies the world has ever known in its own right.

Whilst you probably know the story of the Titanic, you probably don’t know the fact that it was perhaps directly responsible for the creation of the United States federal reserve, although this is a bit of a crazy Illuminati conspiracy theory. I’m not even going to try and explain this in my own words, so here’s the meme that is claiming this in all its glory:

Yeah I mean, I don’t know if that is true (especially the part about the Illuminati Bankers) although all three of the people mentioned did die on the Titanic and did have reason to oppose the creation of the Federal Reserve due to their vast wealth. I’m not really sure what the significance of the book Futility being written 14 years before the disaster occurred either ? I mean yeah it is a bit of a coincidence, but if the Illuminati really did kill these people then why would they write a book bout how they were going to do it 14 years earlier?

Like I said, I’ve got no idea if this is true or not, but I suppose it might be a useful piece of knowledge for entertaining somebody down the pub one day.
