For 7,900 yen (£42 or $65), it’s now possible in Japan to hire a good-looking man to come to your workplace and gently wipe away your tears as you weep.

If you can’t quite manage to cry, the man will sit in your cubicle and watch sad videos with you until you can. THEN he’ll wipe away those tears.

The Tokyo-based company is known as Ikemeso Dahsni (“Handsome Weeping Boys”), and has a website where you can select which guy you want showing up at your workplace. One of them apparently does it with a toothbrush, which I guess some people in Japan might be into.

The company was started by a guy named Hiroki Terai, who seems to enjoy making people cry as he used to screen sad movie clips around Tokyo back in 2013 with the sole purpose of reducing the public to tears.

What’s mainly interesting about this service is that it’s geared exclusively to women. In fact if you think about it it’s kind of like the female equivalent to booking a prostitute. Guys pay to have sex with good-looking women, and girls pay for a good-looking guy to care about their feelings. Both require two consenting adults and take care of the recipient’s sexual/emotional needs. Whatever you need to make you feel good.

Or you can just completely all in and sign the guy/girl to a 15 year contract to be your girlfriend, like this Chinese millionaire did with his favourite porn star.
