Going to IKEA can be fun – do enjoy those meatballs – but it can also be kind of a nightmare as you desperately walk around in a daze trying to find your way out whilst your other half keeps whining about furniture.

However, I reckon one thing that would definitely make it more enjoyable – at least way funnier – would be if one of the employees somehow left porn playing on a big massive screen there. This is exactly what happened at IKEA on Tuesday in Hong Kong, where one idiotic worker tried to cover the screen with a towel instead of just unplugging it. The towel was too small so the guy came across looking like even more of a moron.
To make matters even worse, Tuesday was of course New Year’s Day so the store was apparently way busier than usual. Not sure who goes shopping for a new couch on New Year’s Day, but I guess maybe it’s a Hong Kong thing.
Anyway, the screen was eventually disconnected but one witness said it was one for an uncomfortable amount of time and scared a lot of young children walking past it. IKEA have apologised for the incident and are investigating what happened, but it’s thought that a rogue hacker put up the footage. Always blame it on the rogue hacker – guaranteed to get your head off the chopping board.
