The ignorance over the matter has laughably even spilled onto E News Network – a respected international broadcaster – who for some reason couldn’t tell their Ian Watkins apart from one another and decided to use H’s picture in an article about Ian admitting his guilt yesterday. Whoops.
There’s also a guy on Twitter with the username @ianwatkins (how the real Ian Watkins didn’t get that is beyond me, but his Twitter username is @ian_watkins and it hasn’t been used since he was taken into custody last December) and, unsurprisingly he’s received a torrent of abuse too. This is perhaps even more upsetting when the guy is a old man who believes in Jesus and campaigns against people trafficking.

It would literally take people two seconds to check out who they were tweeting to and make sure they had the right handle which makes this all the more lazy. @ianwatkins even has it stated in his profile that he isn’t from LostProphets or Steps. Some people are so stupid.
Fortunately, he doesn’t seem that bothered about the abuse he’s received in the last 24 hours and instead seems happy to redirect people to the right account. Even though, like he says, it’s unlikely that the real Ian Watkins is going to be reading his tweets any time soon.

@Sadie0407 You may prefer to direct your ire at the correct Ian Watkins. @ian_watkins will do the trick, but I doubt he’ll be reading it….
