‘The Most Hated Man On The Internet’ hit Netflix last week and the story of Hunter Moore and revenge porn website ‘Is Anyone Up?’ has found its way to the top of the streaming charts since then.

Moore was originally meant to appear in the documentary, but he pulled out after saying that he wasn’t allowed to tell his side of the story, with the series instead deciding to focus on Charlotte Laws’ quest to get the website taken off the internet. Moore has reiterated this stance in a a live Q and A, as well as in a statement released via his Twitter account where he said the following:
There is always two side of the stories, 60% of that Netflix documentary was BS, they never want you to tell or hear the truth 😉

Yeah there’s a lot going on there but I don’t really think anyone who’s seen the documentary can really argue against Hunter Moore being a major dickhead who posted people’s nudes on the internet so that he could profit off people’s misery. The argument that it’s not his fault because he didn’t submit the pictures himself doesn’t really hold sway as he was still putting them up on the internet and that was 100% his decision. That’s just not cool.
I guess Moore will try and retcon history somehow and there will still be members of ‘The Family’ who think he’s completely awesome, but I can’t really see him changing anyone’s mind about him after the fact. Maybe he can learn from his mistakes and try and reform, but I sort of doubt that too. Just doesn’t seem like a good guy.
