At this stage in his career, Hugh Grant doesn’t need to pretend like he cares about the Oscars or any other celebrity event that he’s contractually obligated to show up to. On the red carpet last night, he made that abundantly clear when interviewer Ashley Graham pulled him for a chin-wag:

Jeez – that was painful. Hugh Grant wanted absolutely nothing to do with that interview whatsoever. After 30+ years in the business the guy is tired of pretending and for that I don’t blame him.
Fair play to Ashley Graham for keeping her composure during a live televised interview but you need to be asking Hugh Grant questions like “who looks the most horrid tonight?”, not give him invitations to kiss the bxtts of every other celebrity in attendance. The moment she mistook his Vanity Fair comment for the afterparty, it was all over. Let’s hope the next person who interviews Hugh Grant is taking notes.
