If ever you make a movie, then achieving a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes has got to be the dream, perhaps even more so than winning an Oscar. Less films have a 100% rating than Oscars have been given out, that’s for sure.

So whenever one comes out, you’ve got to check it out – especially if it’s in my favourite genre of horror. ‘Get Out’ has achieved the 100% rating and it looks like a truly original movie as well. It’s a ‘racist’ psychological thriller that revolves around a young black photographer visiting his white girlfriend’s parents in upstate New York, where he senses that something is amiss in the neighbourhood and worries he might not make it out of there.

Yeah, I’m not sure. Is it just me or does it not look that great? I hate to say this, but the racism thing kind of makes it come across goofy and not really that sinister.

I mean, I’m still going to check it out because it’s got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and I love horror movies, but it just didn’t look that scary from the trailer. I’m very prepared to be proven wrong when I actually wind up seeing it though. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes can’t be wrong – it’s just a shame that they couldn’t back that up in the trailer. The trailer doesn’t make the movie though and I’ll definitely be checking it out regardless.
