I’ve got to be honest, this house he’s built himself is much better than my house. It has good views, decking and it’s detached. No rent either. I’m a little bit jealous.
He still trains every day to keep himself level.
The story doesn’t end well though I’m afraid. The council decided they wanted to clear the Bulb area to incorporate it into the Sylvia McLaughlin Eastshore State Park. Anderson kicked off of course and wouldn’t budge. But the city decided his mansion was unsafe and it was demolished last month. Here’s where his home once stood:
A representative from the government said “The violations were so extensive that there was no possibility they could be corrected by repairs, nor would such construction be legally permitted on public property at the Albany Bulb waterfront park”. Bummer.
Anderson was gutted and now sleeps in a tent near where his palace once stood. He doesn’t plan to leave the Bulb without a fight.
