Most people seem fairly content to condemn 2016 to a quick and painful death after so many well loved celebrities passed and the Trump and Brexit debacles, and it looks like 2017 is starting on a more promising note.

At least in California that is, where somebody decided to change the Hollywood sign to say ‘Hollyweed’ instead to celebrate the fact that weed was recently legalised in the state after they voted for this alongside the Presidential election. At about 3:00am a figure dressed in black climbed over the protective fence surrounding the sign and draped black and white flags in the correct positions to change what it said.

It’s great that everyone out there saw the funny side. Kinda sad that ABC are saying that it was ‘vandalised’ though. Come on guys, it’s just a little joke right?

Hoping that this dude never gets caught either because that would make the whole thing even sweeter, and the fact that it happened 40 years ago makes it even more intriguing.
