The prison guard sex tape out of HMP Wandsworth was the most viral video on the internet a couple weeks back, so you can appreciate its main star Linda De Sousa keeping a low profile until the fuss died down a little bit (well, that and she’s been in and out of court on charges of professional misconduct).

Well finally, Linda De Sousa is having her say, and wants people to know that they “don’t know her side of the story” and that the media loves to “sensationalise” things, and that anyone monetising off her *checks notes* “disfortune” is being very “distasteful” (especially as she hasn’t seen a penny from it herself):

I’m not really sure what she means by saying the media has a way of twisting things; she’s literally on camera willingly jumping up and down on an inmate’s lap, asking him to switch positions and everything. Unless this was all happening without her consent (which, from the looks of it, it definitely wasn’t), then I’m not sure what other side of the story there could be that would make such a dramatic difference to the scandal?

I mean, you can’t be accusing the papers of trying to sensationalise a sex tape you made in prison while working as a prison guard – that pretty much sensationalises itself! So essentially she’s said a whole bunch of nothing here, although I do agree with her that she should at least be making some kind of money off this whole saga. No doubt Piers Morgan will have her on his show by the end of next week, so she can start there, I suppose…
