I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know much about Weird Al Yankovic – just that he created a few popular satires of famous songs and seemingly became fairly famous off it because for some reason people absolutely love that kind of crap.

Personally, I totally hate it and find it some of the least funny stuff of all time (see also Tenacious D) but that doesn’t necessarily mean that a movie about his life is going to suck. ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’ stars Harry Potter alumni Daniel Radcliffe as the titular character and looks like it’s going to be quite the hoot, with a whole dollop of emotion thrown in on the side as well.

However, his excessive lifestyle and infamous romance nearly destroy him.

Yeah I told you it looked really good didn’t I? Also had no idea that Weird Al was getting with Madonna for an extended period of time, but it must be true because Weird Al is fully in on the movie and actually helped write it. Crazy.

Anyway, it’s a bummer that this is coming out on Roku because I don’t even know what that is, but I’m sure we’ll probably be able to stream it fairly easily if you spend some time looking. Released on November 4th.
