‘Teletubbies’ wasn’t a show that I watched extensively as a child but it was something I did check it out in my early teens because it was one of the weirdest programmes that has ever been broadcast on network television, almost coming across like a kids version of ‘Twin Peaks’ or something.

There haven’t been any new episodes of ‘Teletubbies’ since the early 00s, but Netflix have finally decided to reboot the classic show with new episodes coming out on November 14th. Rachelle Beinart, Rebecca Hyland, Nick Chee Ping Kellington and Jeremiah Krage will be appearing with Tinky Winky, Dipsy, LaaLaa and Po with ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ actor Titus Burgess acting as the narrator.
They’re destined to take viewers on ‘wonder filled adventures’, along with a brand new section called ‘Tubby Tales’ that promises to have the whole family dancing along. Check out the trailer below:
It’s what you’ve all been waiting for.

That just looks exactly the same as the original version of ‘Teletubbies’? Literally exactly the same – it doesn’t even look like it’s even been updated to reflect twenty years of increased knowledge or technology or whatever.
I suppose some assholes out there are going to be angry that the baby in the sun is now black and I suppose the narration sounds a bit goofier than it did before but it essentially looks exactly the same as it used to, so I guess that means a new generation of children are going to be traumatised by the ‘Teletubbies’. Nice one Netflix.
For more of the same, check out this episode of Teletubbies that was so creepy it was banned from television. Controversial.
