‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ and ‘The Haunting Of Bly Manor’ have been two of the biggest horror hits on Netflix, so we’re obviously interested in creator Mike Flanagan’s new show ‘The Midnight Club’.

The series is based on Christopher Pike’s 1994 book of the same name and follows eight young hospice patients who meet up every night to tell spooky stories to one another. That made me think that it was going to be an anthology series like ‘Are You Afraid Of The Dark?’ or ‘The Twilight Zone’ or something, but it actually looks very different from the trailer that’s just been released:

Inside a hospice for terminally ill teens, members of an exclusive club make a chilling pact: The first to die must send a sign from beyond the grave.
Yeah, I’m not sure about that really. I got the feeling that it was going to be legitimately scary, but watching the trailer it kind of looks like it’s for teenagers or something and won’t actually be that terrifying when you actually come to watch it. Not sure if I’ll check it out right now but with Flanagan behind it you would at least hope that it was worth tuning in for.
