‘The Last of Us’ is arguably one of the greatest Playstation games of the last decade, and has now been adapted into a TV series. The synopsis is pretty simple:
The Last Of Us follows Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl, Ellie, across a post-apocalyptic United States.
We all know video game movies/TV series don’t have the greatest track record, but I think there’s cause to be optimistic on this one. After all, Neil Druckmann, who created the game, is executive producer, writer and director for the series, so I doubt you’re going to get anyone more passionate about this project than the guy who literally invented the original video game. Also, Pedro Pascal’s in it! He kills everything he’s in. Rest of the cast ain’t bad either:
Most importantly, the trailer looks good. The production value is on point, the tension feels legit, and Pedro Pascal is perfectly cast as the main man. This won’t just turn out to be another post-apocalyptic zombie show, will it? Guess we’ll find out when it drops in 2023.
For a look at Stephen Graham’s next project in which he plays a reformed neo-Nazi, click HERE. Can’t wait for ITV to drop that one.
