You would think that Hayley Welch AKA the Hawk Tuah Girl would feel some gratitude toward the man who inadvertently kickstarted her career by interviewing her on the streets of Nashville that fateful night, but apparently she doesn’t appreciate him whatsoever.
Despite now being worth $200,000, here’s how Hawk Tuah responded when asked if she has thanked the man who made it happen:

“Tell him thank you for what?”
“Well, see, we reached out to him and I asked him to stop posting those videos and he never did. He blocked us all on everything.”
“So I’m not telling him thank you for anything.”
No love lost there, it seems. Of course, it could be that Hawk Tuah is not giving us the full story here. In fact there were rumours circulating that Welch was planning on suing Tim Dickerson and DeArius Marlow – Tim & Dee TV -after they refused to grant her ownership of the video after they had already sent her stupendously viral. Though in fairness to Welch, she has denied that this is true.
In any case, Hawk Tuah has done an incredible job in building off her viral fame, banking $30,000 a night just to turn up at clubs and raking in millions of viewers for her (subjectively awful) podcast. Wonder how Tim & Dee TV feel about that? Has anyone even heard a peep out of them since? Perhaps Hailey could teach them a thing or two about capitalising on the moment.
