The Chainsmokers burst onto the scene last year sometime with their mindless EDM pop music and ridiculously contemplative lyrics and the world absolutely loved them for it, pretty much elevating them to the role of superstars instantaneously, whilst also getting everyone thinking about their old roommates too.

It’s no secret that there’s a formula to this shit, but when you see someone spell it our for you and just how easy it is then it’s going to make you laugh and wonder why the fuck you don’t just do it yourself. This dude reveals just how stupid and dumb The Chainsmokers are by detailing how they write pretty much every single one of their songs and it’s so on point that you can’t help but laugh your ass off to it:

See what I mean? This video was so successful (it’s got about 2 million views on YouTube alone after being up there for about a day) that he actually decided to turn it into its own song, and once again it’s completely on point, and probably only took him about 10 minutes to sort out:

Kinda disappointed he didn’t mention a place name and I felt the lyrics probably needed a few more specifics in there, but again it’s pretty legit for something he did in ten minutes.

Of course, it’s probably important to remember that The Chainsmokers probably spent about 1000 hours deciding on the stupid lyrics that would resonate with the most amount of people in the world, but it just goes to show how easy it can be to write a catchy pop song if you just go for it. Give it a shot, you never know what might happen.
