On Monday, 38 year old Gyulchekhra Bobokulova shocked the world when she appeared in footage that showed her brandishing 4 year old Nasty Meshcheryakova’s head in the middle of Moscow, while she waffled on about the end of the world and being a terrorist.
It turns out that Bobokulova was working as a nanny and her victim had been in her care.
It also turns out that Bobokulova is a schizophrenic who had been registered at a psychiatric clinic in her native Uzbekistan, but managed to hide her condition. She had also been “kicked to the streets” following a recent divorce, according to a police source.
When a radio journalist asked her why she had killed the child, Bobokulova replied:
Allah ordered me.
She pleaded guilty in court and smiled and waved to journalists throughout.
A source added:
I can tell you only one thing — the relatives are shocked with the cruel murder but they were not surprised. They know very well why Gyulchekhra did it.
Everybody here knew Gyulchekhra. She was a strange woman, to put it mildly.
There is an explanation: she had schizophrenia.
Investigators say Bobokulova waited until the young girl’s parents left their home with their elder child, then killed the girl and set the house on fire.
Witnesses say she was yelling:
I hate democracy. I’m a terrorist…The end of the world.
What an absolute head case. The source in the story says everyone in the area knew what a nutter she was but unfortunately, seems the victim’s family didn’t get the memo. Didn’t clock her psychotic drawn-on eyebrows or dead shark eyes either. Giving people the benefit of the doubt can be a dangerous thing.
