More details surrounding the death of adult film legend Kagney Linn Karter have been revealed this week, after the 36-year-old was found dead at her home in Parma, Ohio.

The Parma Police Department had already announced that Kagney had taken her own life – something which was then confirmed by friends of hers who’ve started a GoFundMe on behalf of her mum, Tina.

Like most people, I would have assumed that Kagney Linn Karter took her own life via drug overdose (no drugs were found at the scene), so it’s shocking to discover that Karter’s death was a lot more horrific than that – she died via a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the mouth.

According to Cuyahoga County officials, Kagney’s official cause of death is listed as an ‘intraoral shotgun wound’. What that basically means is; she put a shotgun in her mouth and pulled the trigger.

It’s just such an awful detail to add to what was already a tragic story, and one we’re seeing way to often in the adult film industry these days, particularly with ladies who have retired from the profession.

Kagney Linn Karter had retired from the game in 2019, and was focusing on pole dancing and setting up her own pole dancing studio in Cleveland. By all accounts, she was a great person to be around and to work with. It’s just such a shame she couldn’t get the help she needed before reaching this point.

RIP to a legend of the game, just a few weeks after her peer Jesse Jane died in similar circumstances.
