Gross Magic is apparently one kid – Sam McGarrigle – from Brighton, who ‘s whole rasion d’etre seems to be to celebrate the fact that Evan Dando > Kurt Cobain and Jeff Lynne > John Lennon.
Gross Magic prances through this in his second video, looking and dressing like an amalgam of the entire cast of Dazed n Confused via one of Ren from Ren And Stimpy’s psychedelic dreams.

Sweetest Touch (which is downloadable for free here) rips off wholesale the b-line from Come As You Are (which as everyone knows was stolen directly from this) before becoming the most buoyant and downright likeable guitar pop song (lo-fi or otherwise) you’ve heard all year.
The single is available on the Teen Jamz EP which is released on label-to-watch The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing come August 8th. Its only £4 , worth buying even if you just want to re-sell it for 10 times that amount on Ebay in a years time. Grab it here.
