It’s often said how graphics for video games are getting better and better, but I didn’t think we would ever get to the point where you almost couldn’t tell the difference whatsoever.

Well, I didn’t reckon with whoever was behind the new first person shooter game ‘Unrecord’. The geeks in charge of the game used a Go Pro Bodycam to develop the graphics and man it really does look like you’re actually there in the first gameplay trailer that was released yesterday.

Yeah OK so as soon as the gun starts firing and the camera starts doing some of the leans around corners you can tell that it isn’t real, but for the first part where the player is just walking around the abandoned building you would swear that the footage is real. The fact that it’s meant to be bodycam footage too – I think your character is a tactical police man in the actual game – means that it could actually be stuff from a real life camera as well. Excited to see what this looks like when it comes out later this year.
