Here’s another view of the inside of that abandoned 19th century Manor House. Although there’s no graffiti on this one you can easily see that the place is completely trashed and nobody has lived there at any point in the recent past – it’s got a bunch of trees growing in it you see.
These next two photos really go some way to illustrating how bad the air traffic problem has become in Goussainville-Vieux Pays. I mean that plane in the first picture is practically flying into that church right? That’s gonna be loud and really annoying if you’re trying to say your Sunday prayers.
For some reason, even though most of the population of the town has departed, a guy called Nicolas Mahieu still thinks it’s a good idea to run a bookstore there. Clearly there must be a huge demand for second hand books in ghost towns. I guess there isn’t much else to do there except read so that could make sense.
