Google has just introduced a Gaydar type feature to it’s search engine, so you can now find out from Google if certain celebrities are gay. Go and type ‘is elton john gay’ into Google and you’ll be met with ‘Best guess for Elton John Sexual orientation is Gay‘ – pretty funny feature, but seriously, why?

Google makes its judgement from reading other reliable stories on the web about the said celebrity and their sexuality. So far there’s only a handful of celebrities who Google will give you an answer for, these include Elton John, Jodie Foster, Ricky Martin, Rosie O’Donnell, and Neil Patrick Harris. We wonder if this new feature will be used as a marketing tool for celebrities who are stuck in the closet and want to keep their straight image alive…
