Even if you don’t know the name Sam Briggs, then you’ll probably remember his infamous video from Christmas 2012 where he filmed himself wrapping Christmas presents for unsuspecting members of the public whilst massively off his face on various types of different drugs.

‘Drugs At Work’ went massively viral and was featured on pretty much every viral news platform (including this one) and Sam even ended up writing a few articles for us afterwards, but for the most part he’s been largely quiet with his online presence – until now. Sam is back with what he’s describing as a ‘professionally-produced sitcom that makes light of the sad aftermath of my short-lived internet fame and is honest about recreational drug use’ and that sounds like something everyone who frequents Sick Chirpse will enjoy.
I’ve actually watched the first episode and can honestly say that it’s worth 25 minutes of your time. There’s a lot of zingers in there that anyone who’s ever been to a house party (and ended up completely off your face) can relate to:
What’s more pathetic than a TV has-been not letting go of their 15 minutes of fame?
How about a washed-up Youtuber desperately hoping to claw back their 9 minutes and 29 seconds of viral infamy, they once had for taking drugs dressed up as a Christmas elf?
Yeah, like I said that was pretty fun wasn’t it, although perhaps not quite there yet in terms of the stuff that you would see on your TV set. Definitely on its way though. I think my favourite part was when he was pranging out on balloons at the party and he thinks his mate is asking if he’s lost it, but he’s actually just talking about the lighter. We’ve all done that hey?
Anyway, if you liked what you saw then please head over to Sam’s YouTube channel to subscribe or his GoFundMe if you want to help finance his next episode. I feel like he deserves it after all the joy he gave everyone with the original ‘Drugs At Work’ video.
For more of the same, check out some of Sam’s work for us from back in the day. It still holds up.
