Following Roy Hodgson’s sacking as Liverpool yesterday, Glen Johnson took the opportunity to impress new manager Kenny Dalglish with a ridiculous rant at pundit Paul Merson on every celebrity’s favourite social media platform, twitter.
Merson was discussing Hodgson’s exit on Sky Sports News when he questioned some of the Liverpool player’s performances under his reign, including Johnson’s. This prompted Johnson to tweet ‘”Comments from alcoholic drug abusers are not really gonna upset me and who is Paul Merson to judge players, he was average at the best of times,” followed by “The only reason he’s on that show is coz he gambled all his money away. The clown!”
Predictably the comments were removed after a number of his followers complained that he had brought up Merson’s former problems with addiction, to which he replied: ‘I dunno wot all the hype is about’
You can follow Glen Johnson on twitter here (while you’re at it follow sickchirpse here) and be treated to such wonderfully constructed tweets as: ‘How many of you actually know what happened about the toilet seat story??? Know one beacause know one has ever heard me talk about it’ (this is referring to an incident where he got caught trying to rob a toilet seat from IKEA or somewhere). He’s trying to get to 50,000 followers so he can do Q + A sessions. Maybe your first question could be ‘why are you such a fvcking idiot?’, you second could be ‘why don’t you know the difference between no and know?’ and your last one could be ‘why are all your hairstyles so fvcking stupid?’
