A 15-year-old gold-digger pretended to fall in love with a man she met online before stabbing him in the head when he failed to buy her more expensive gifts.
Chloe Coster posed as a 19-year-old as she pursued the 35-year-old victim in 2020. The teen, now 18, used the alias Hope Morgan and duped the man by saying she wanted to marry him.
In reality, she had him saved as ‘Annoying C**t’ in her phone, whilst he had her saved as ‘My Hope’, which is just about the saddest thing I think I’ve ever heard and sums up the disparity in the relationship.
On a date prior to the incident, Chloe met the man at a Travelodge and collected £200 before running away. She later returned to collect a bracelet before again running off.
On January 20, 2021, Chloe met the man again at a Holiday Inn in Swindon, Wilthire, expecting jewellery, alcohol and sweets. The man paid her taxi fare and took her to his room, where she grabbed a packet of Maoam sweets and put them in her pocket.
Well, one pack of Moaoms simply was not good enough, because Chloe then began searching the room for alcohol and jewellery, and when she didn’t find any, went ballistic and repeatedly stabbed the victim in his ear, arm and top of his head.
Chloe then told the victim that if he reported her to police, he would get into trouble as she was actually 15 years old. In text messages following the attack, she wrote: “You know I’m young, you’re an old man who tried to kidnap me. I’m young, you will get in trouble.”
The victim went to hospital for treatment, and doctors called the police for him. Chloe was then arrested and lied about her involvement during questioning, saying the man was a stalker.
In a pre-sentence report, she told the probation officer: “‘If he wants to be weird to me, I will get out of it what I want.”
In the end, Chloe pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and received a two-year community order with the requirement to complete 150 hours of unpaid work. She must also attend 25 rehabilitation activity days and pay a fine of £1,000. Which all seems a bit lenient for stabbing a man in the head, but then what do you expect from the British justice system these days?
