In April of this year, Emre Belozoglu of Fenerbache was banned for two games by the Turkish FA for using ‘abusive’ language towards Didier Zokora of Trabzonspor. According to Zokora this language included racism and he was clearly unhappy with the situation. “What upsets me more is how disgraceful it is for a player who has African team mates like [Senegal’s Moussa] Sow and [Nigeria’s Joseph] Yobo to insult an African from another team.”
This claim remained unproven and was strongly denied by the former Newcastle United man. “If I have even a little bit of racism, may God take my heart away from this body.”
The outcome of this dispute clearly left the former Tottenham player fuming, but until the two met again on Sunday he was unable to do a great deal about it. On Sunday however, he certainly made his point to Emre and everyone else watching at home. At first he refused to shake his hand (adding to the already hostile atmosphere) and then pulled off perhaps the greatest impression of Roy Keane the Turkish Süper Lig has ever seen.
Now we have seen some nasty tackles this season such as this cracker by Paolo Guerrero, but this one takes the biscuit, caramel and nuts. He provided the footballing equivalent of the Kellogg Crunchy Nut and sent Emre crashing to the floor. Amazingly, he was only given a yellow card for this offence, but I guess after the last World Cup final referees are slightly more lenient on horrific waist high tackles huh? Anyway, check it out below:

God may not have taken your heart away Emre, but Zokora took your nuts.
